Parent & Baby

AGES
0–12 MONTHS
Class Time
FRIDAYS 12:00–1:45 p.m.

This class gives families an opportunity to connect with other parents and babies in our community while building the foundations for strong parent/child relationships and communication. The curriculum includes opportunities for parents to share their experiences, learn evidence-based information on infant development and parent/child attachment, and introduce babies to the social world through music, movement, and sensory experiences.

Caregivers are also students at Bothell Family Cooperative Preschool. As an affiliate of Shoreline Community College (SCC), members participate in parent education. We place a high value on exposing caregivers to best practices that will support and equip them on their journey. Every other week caregivers will participate in small-group discussions during class time.  Quarterly evening parent meetings often include speakers on a variety of preschool development and parenting topics. Families pay an annual SCC tuition, which is then used to subsidize educators' salaries.

Unlike our other classes, there is no cleaning obligation for the Parent & Baby class. Furthermore, families enrolled only in the Parent & Baby class are not required to serve on a preschool committee or attend a work party. Parent & Baby families are invited to participate in all-school speakers and family events - we are Excited to have you as part of our cooperative community!
